A dirty roof detracts from the overall look of your home regardless of how much work you put into the rest of your property as well as being a breading ground for mould and lichen which bring their own health hazards. But thats ok, myHouseWasher.com.au has developed a technique that ensures a brilliant result regardless of the roofing material, removing the health hazards and bringing back the curb appeal.
Regular roof cleaning goes hand in hand with the standard maintenance around your home and greatly reduces potential hazards associated with flooded gutters, fire fueling debris and unsightly mould and grime. Regular cleaning also allows you to identify any potential problems and roof damage that you weren’t previously aware of, making it easier to fix problem before they get worse and more damage is done.
How is it done
Roof cleaning whilst pitched is very similar to cleaning flats surfaces like driveways and paths. The key difference is the surface and the inherent dangers associated with work at heights on a slippery surface and on an angle. We utilise two very different techniques to clean your roof, utilising a standard pressure cleaning lance as well as a rotary tool to cover large flat surfaces both have been modified for working on roofs.
As with our standard practice your roof is pre-sprayed with our custom chemical and it begins to working on contact. Mould and lichen spores begin to die on contact with the chemical, dieing from the roots not just the surface enabling us to remove all traces of the dirt, grime, lichen and mould not just taking off the top layer. The roof is then cleaned using our rotary attachment to leave the majority of the roof clean. The edges, ridge capping, barge tiles, and roll capping is then cleaned with a wand tool to ensure the entire roof is done before the entire roof is rinsed with fresh water.
